She takes so much of my time haha.
She's 7 months now! Almost 8. She's big and strong and talks a lot. Things like gabooo, and ayyyyyyyyy.
She takes so much of my time haha.
But I went to the offix website and saw all the videos and stills that I did back in Chicago.
Of course as of this writing, who knows if they'll change anything like refresh the website with new actors but hey I'm happy it's on there haha.
That's right! I moved to Portland Oregon. It's very pretty here. Driving around here is pretty scenic as well. Trees everywhere.
My kid is now 6 months old. It's been that long since I've done any acting or modeling. Moving took a lot out of my time as well but that's to be expected. I'm in a better place in terms of housing and neighborhood. Not that the place in Chicago I lived in was bad, but it was a lot older in terms of appliances, doors, floors, etc. This place I'm in now feels like a house instead of an apartment. I no longer have to walk up 3 flights of stairs.
It's still very crazy out there. Things ARE slowly opening up for business. I haven't really checked out what's out there in terms of work for Portland Oregon. I'll probably dabble a little bit in seeing whats out there. Until then, more unpacking and more driving around Portland.
Everyone is in Quarantine, or protesting, or rioting. Jobs are slow, people have no work or lost their jobs because of the rioting. As of this writing, it's a sad time.
When times are good again and things are back to normal, I wish all of you the best of the best in work and life.
I'll be moving in July of 2020. Can't say where yet. Hopefully things quiet down and work picks up.
My future plans are making my own short films. As you know I have a kid now so I guess I'm still on hiatus in terms of gigs and stuff.
Stay safe out there.
It was all on good terms! I decided to go freelance. Why? Well, my daughter that's why. In a week or so, my wife goes back to work. Someone has to stay home and take care of her, and that would be me. No family here to watch over if I do get auditions and I can't just pay someone a day before to take care of her. If you're not familiar with how auditions work, most of the time, if not all the time, you get told about an audition a day before it happens. I can't stay with BMG because I would be very unreliable as an actor/model if I keep telling them I can't go to an audition they try to send me out on.
I love BMG. They were amazing to work with. They helped me a lot when I moved here to Chicago. I always got paid in a decent amount of time, they helped put me out there, I got more auditions here than I did living in LA. I got many more gigs with them as well. #bmgfamily will always live on in me.
It's back to just me. I will still apply for parts since I love what I do but, I'll have to be picky now. Only applying for things that fit my schedule or in a rare free time.
I'll make sure to work on my photography and film while I'm at home. This might be a new opportunity to start something on the side but still in the same business.
Only if I get the chance to do it lol. I had an audition today. One of those quick ones which I really love.
It's Valentines day and I had an audition. I love it.
Why? This is why. I'm a DAD! I still will pursue my goal in acting and modeling but will be away until I can get things situated and have more time. :D
I had a fun shoot today with Cultivate at the Offix office area place thingie. It's a floor where there's a bunch of office rooms that you can rent out.
It was a chilled and laid back environment, the best kind. The crew from Cultivate was awesome, the talent I met today were new faces to me, but not new to the entertainment industry and I had a lot of fun chatting with all of them. Shout out to all the people I met today and worked with.
I was able to take one photo. It was at the end of the shoot today so a lot of people are missing but they're there in spirit.
I had a really fun commercial shoot today. No audition. Reason for that is because they found me! They saw me on one of the acting websites and contacted me. Thanks George and Hector! This was for a Real Estate Commercial for the company ACO.
These photos were from todays shoot. It probably doesn't make sense what your seeing but it was a fun day :D.
That empty building was a quick shoot with George showing me around while Hector films and that's Hector setting up a shot for the next scene at the airport. Those two were really great guys. Very fun to hang around with.
Shout out to Dianas Restaurant on Augusta as well. We ate there for lunch. I've been there many times and it's always delicious but this time they had new items on the menu since I last went, and I gotta say, the Knuckle sandwich is now my favorite sandwich.
Super excited they contacted me again and wanted to work with me once more. It's always great working with that crew. New and familiar faces were present. One of the girls that I worked with in that studio was there after me.
Thanks to everyone there for being so chill and easy to talk to and work with. Thanks to the teleprompter guy (sorry I forgot most of the names already) for the no pressure telepromter skills when scrolling down. It was an awsome experience.
Hope to work with them again. And also once again, I forgot to take selfies with the crew...
A goal of becoming an Actor and Model. :D
