I recently dropped my some furniture on my toe helping a friend move. I had a pretty good cut above the nail and swollen all over. I can't even wear closed toe shoes because plasma comes out.
I just got an audition notice today for a body double. It was for a Korean star named Jang Dong-gun. I looked him up, and I thought hmmmmm, I guess I can look like him from behind haha. I thought that looks pretty good I can do this role, but as I read the description, it requires running... I can't run in this condition! It'd be very painful.
So I had to text my agent to tell her that I can't make it. What's funny is that it really sounds like a lie. "Sorry I can't make it, I dropped furniture on my toes." I didn't say it like that but that's how it looks in my head. She probably hates me now but this is for the better if I want my toe to recover. I only have a week left with her before I cancel my contract with Tangerine Talent anyways. Then from there, I'll be freelance.
