My agent just ignores the description and just submits me if they see "ASIAN MAN". I don't want to say it's a waste of my time to go there to audition for this role because WHO KNOWS, maybe they'll be like hmmm maybe this guy fits anyways. Most of the time though, that's not the case. I can't say what this audition is for but it's a brand name.
I also went to this audition last year, every year it seems to come up for the clothing line. I just don't fit the look. I know I said I wasn't going to pass up on auditions, but this one.... sighhhhh
If you've been following all my posts, you also noticed I went to back to back auditions a week ago. I don't think I got the part haha. Not because I suck, that's how it is when you choose to become an actor or actress. You're up against so many other actors/actress's. So if you're reading this, don't feel bad if you don't get anything. You eventually will like I do. Small roles but it pays.
Next on my agenda, I thought about leaving my agent sooner than later. I will eventually when I move to Chicago. Now however, after writing about this audition, I could've submitted myself for this role because I saw it. Like I said, they just saw "ASIAN MAN" and just submitted. They really aren't doing much for me now. I do miss Sherrie my agent from San Francisco. She was awesome. I just didn't like paying for skybolt haha. Which honestly I thought was a scam, but I think that's how I got roles that weren't on the casting website.
So for tomorrow, I'll go to the audition, and I am 51.9% motivated to just tell my agent that I'll be leaving them and going on my own. I also haven't decided if I want an agent in Chicago. I'm leaning toward yes/yes/no. Figure that out.
